Retirement Planning

Are you close to retirement? Here is some helpful information on what you will need when preparing for retirement.

Contact the Fund Office at least 6 weeks prior to your retirement date to schedule an appointment or request an application.

All signed applications / supporting documentation are due prior to retirement date.

In person appointments are about an hour, or you can request a phone meeting.

Pension payments are deposited on the 1st of each month.

What you need to to bring to your appointment

If married, your spouse is required to attend the appointment. Signatures need to be witnessed by a Fund Staff member or notarized if using the mail in option.

Copies of Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, and Picture ID.

Direct Deposit Information.

If you are divorced, this is what you will need:
  • Marital Settlement Agreement / Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO)
  • If you have a QDRO, make sure to contact the Retirement Department 90 days prior to your appointment
  • Divorce Decree
